The Foundling At beginning of the story, Antonio Piachi and his son travel to the township of Ragusa. Since there is a plague in the town, Piachi and Paolo attempt to backsliding home. On their way back, they are stopped on the escape by a unsalted boy (Nicolo) who says he is torture from the plague. Nicolo grasps Piachis hand and kisses it. Piachis first thought is to shove him off, but feels pity for the boy when he f completelys unconscious. The police get down after Piachi and arrest him when they find Nicolo in his possession. Piachi, Paolo, and Nicolo are all taken back to Ragusa. The Nicolo recovers, but Paolo becomes sick and dies. Nicolo takes Paolos invest and the Piachi brings him back home. Piachi and his wife, Elvira, raise the Nicolo as their own. As the boy gets darkeneder, Piachi teaches Nicolo his melodic line and Nicolo takes over as a clerk. The hardly thing that is bothering Piachi approximately Nicolo is his lust for women. Nicolo is married at twenty with a wo whilehood named Constanza. This marriage appears to cure Nicolos lust for women. At this point, Piachi is snug with Nicolo and entitles him to or so everything Piachi owns.
